A key wic reset utility is a software key in the form of a CD-ROM disc, USB flash drive, or floppy disk that can be used to restore a ThinkPad in the event of a malfunction. The utility includes diagnostic and repair tools for ThinkPads manufactured by Lenovo. When entering diagnostic mode it is important to confirm model number and enter BIOS ID code which allows diagnosis by engine type.
